Note To Self

Do not start looking up what a good swim time is for 700 yards 2 days before your swim leg. Reading that it should be 1/2-1/3 of what your current practice time is will not help you. At all. Really.  It won’t make you feel more prepared. You might think it will because, you know, it might reinforce the idea that you can actually swim 700 yards at a time without dying. It won’t. It will, however, make you feel like you are in slightly over your head.

  1. I was so surprised at what I could do at the half marathon. My times were way better than they had ever been during training. You can do it! I know exactly how you feel about being last but I’ll be here to tell you that you’re awesome for even getting out there and doing it! 🙂
